I'm not entirely sure how many people are interested in knitting; but I have come across a site that takes all it's pics from flickr and also uses blogs and has it's own wiki. www.ravelry.com is where to go if you want to have a look.
I'm not sure why they would use flickr for putting the photo's of their craft on the site but I can understand why they would use blogging. Using the blogs is a way to communicate whether the patterns are hard or easy or even if there is a problem with the pattern. The wiki is also a good idea as it explains the terminology for beginners and there are at least two very distinct languages used in knitting. The American way and the British way.

I just went outside to hang the washing in the sun. It may be bright out there but it's so very cold. I come back inside and look at this and realise that no matter how cold it is here it's colder somewhere else!!!

I put another thicker, warmer jumper on.

This is something I can definitely relate to and I'm guessing that so can a few other's in our little group.

Flikr and Me

Now as anyone that truly knows me, knows that I am NOT a photo taking person. In fact I find it hard to even remember that I own a camera (even when on holiday). So to set up a flikr account was one of the hardest things I could have set out to do!!

Taking the tour made it all look so very easy. Yes I do suppose that it was easy until i had to find some photos to upload. I guess that I was lucky in that I went on hol's in Tassie last year and that I was made to take my camera and to take lots and lots of photos. Well I thought that it was lots and lots but my mate Jack said "Is that all!!!" after I had shown her.
I guess you cant please all the people all the time.

When I loaded them into flikr I spent quite a long time rotating them and naming them, but now when I go and have a look the names have disappeared. I'm not happy about that but I will perservere and keep trying to get them named.

Hello there to the big wide world of blogging!!
This is my first time setting thoughts to the web and I think it's a little bit frightening to think that people can read them. Yes, I know, I have set my privacy settings to keep just anyone from reading this but I also know that for some that in itself is a challenge for them to break into it.


Well maybe...maybe it just won't be exciting enough for them!!

Anyway off I go on this adventure into the future.
